Work Overview

It's early evening in a South American city. Sitting at an outdoor cafe is a musical scholar who is taking a well-deserved break after spending hours poring over Bach's The Musical Offering. As she takes in the night scene, she hears a milonga band in the distance. At first she doesn't pay too much attention to the band and then something strange happens. She starts to hear fragments from The Musical Offering in the milonga. And as she focuses on this strange but not unpleasant sensation, she perceives wisps of Bach all around her in the night air.
