Work Overview

The title 'Contrasts' was chosed as the aim of the work is to show what a wide range of expressive and technical possibilities the viola has at its disposal. To emphasise this each movement inhabits a completely different and contrasted scenario:-'Zephyr', a brisk and lilting breeze, 'Remembering' brings regret but also joy, while 'Flamenco' depicts the varied moods - sensuous, enticing, frenetic, of this flamboyant music and dance culture.
