Work Overview
This odd couple fit well together under the title 'Dark Scenarios' since within each there is a story line with elements of the burlesque, irony and even menace. In 'Cortege' an unrelenting ostinato bass in the outer sections is relieved by a change of mood. In 'Ballroom Nightmare' a banal waltz tune morphs into nightmarish parody of the waltz.
