Work Overview
'Now I Will Dance' was composed in July 2003. Whilst at university, Charody had a few troubles with several composition tutors for not being "modern" or "experimental" enough. Tired of teachers trying to force her to compose within a certain "box", Charody wrote 'Now I Will Dance' as a compositional task. The work received a fail from her university lecturers, however the work has since gone on to be one of Charody's most popular pieces.
'Now I Will Dance' plays regularly throughout Europe, Australia and the UK and was released on Charody's album 'Homage' (MGM) in 2013. 'Now I Will Dance' features in Charody's circus opera 'The Carnival'.
