Tarimi Nulay is song which connects both performer and audience with a deeper understanding of Indigenous culture through the opportunity to sing in the ancient language of the Gadigal people.

Commission note: Commissioned for 20th anniversary of Gawura College at St Andrews Cathedral School.

First performance: 5 Dec 17. performed by St Andrew's Cathedral School Senior and Junior Choirs, String Orchestra and Gawura School Choir, Sydney Town Hall

The composer notes the following styles, genres, influences, etc associated with this work:
Chorus sung in the Indigenous language of the Gadigal (Sydney) people. Translation by Gadigal Cultural Custodian Matthew Doyle.

When rehearsing or performing Tarimi Nulay please be sure to acknowldge the language as belonging to the Gadigal people of Sydney and pay respects to elders past present and emerging.
