Work Details

Year: 1993

Instrumentation: 2 violins, viola, cello; optional effects, eg, guitar effects boards and looping device.

Duration: 15 min.

Difficulty: Advanced — Complex rhtymic material, with non-stop molto allegro, with improvisation sections. (optional)

Contents note: 1. Intro: tempo rubato (2 min.) -- 2. Allegro, molto allegro (12 min., 15 sec.).

Dedication note: Dedicated: To Marcus Hartstein, whose many musical and ‘pre post-cultural’ insights into my work, (both on stage and off) encouraged me to persevere, in spite of my own doubts … but then again, there was Gregorian Funk!!
