Work Overview
No score exists for the work. This piece is essentially improvised, serving as an introduction to The Big Pak. Stylistically, it is intended to evoke the sounds of the Turkish zurna, played in a rhapsodic and rhythmically free manner. The two players interact in the manner of protaganists in a heated argument, building an atmosphere of tongue-in-cheek antagonism, before launching into Big Pak.
