Work Overview
A work in six regions:
1. Bush Drones
2. Tejo Refrain
3. Signs of Life (Rooms and Tones)
4. Stones at Tomar
5. And those who cried amen…
6. Small Orbits
The work comprises a 13-track mix produced in Logic Pro X. In the final mix, five audio tracks sit side-by-side with seven MIDI instrumental tracks, on top of a series of 'bed' tracks. Three of the instrumental tracks are synthesisers (Alchemy, ES2 and Sculpture Modelling), while the fourth and fifth are built on Tibetan Singing Bowls and Indonesian Gamelan Gongs (EXS24). The final two tracks are both small chamber choirs. The bed tracks appear consecutively and define sections of the work, except for an additional bed ('Rooms and Tones'), which is superimposed across the third and fourth sections.
