Instrumentation: 2 flutes, 2 piccolos, 3 oboes, cor anglais, 2 clarinets in B flat, clarinet in E flat, bass clarinet in B flat, 2 bassoons, contrabassoon, 6 horns in F, 3 trumpets in C, 3 trombones, bass trombone, tuba, timpani (also whip), percussion (5 players), 2 harps, celesta, strings.
