Work Overview
This swing tune was inspired by the 1937 standard Gone with Wind (Wrubel/Magidson). It has three tonal centres (Bb, D, Gb), and the melody utilizes the chromatic language of bebop. This arrangement includes a vocalese after the theme, which can be doubled on piano if desired.
