Work Overview
This work is based on the mythological figure of Lilith as the first wife of Adam. The legend of Lilith is a fascinating one in that she was cast out for being equal with Adam in her ability to think for herself and make her own choices, as she had been made from the same dirt as Adam was (as opposed to Eve who was made from one of Adam's own ribs, therefore allowing her to be subjugated). This work is conceptually tied to the modern issue of equality which stems from this ancient story.
