Work Overview
The piano is a resonance chamber.
Once a note on a piano has been sounded, its presence can float
in space as resonance. In this piece, resonance acts as a
weightless element that hovers above the strings and the string
instruments, suspending sound. It acts like a web that binds one
living sound to another for a moment, and then unravels, and then
is stretched again between more moving points as it draws new
patterns that create further sets of connections.
