Work Overview
The lookout at Echo Point, in Katoomba, juts out over the deep
Jamison Valley. There are sweeping views over the Blue Mountains
National Park with its plateau and valleys of eucalypt bushland
and the nearby Three Sisters rock formation.
Busloads of tourists swarm on to the lookout each day but at
night there is time for quiet reflection.
Nowadays, few people frequent the rugged landscape of the
National Park but before European settlers arrived, displacing
them, it was the homeland for generations of Indigenous peoples
