Work Overview
As the name suggests, a funk tune. Saxes are featured with a deep funky groove, the brass taking the melody in the bridge.

Instrumentation: Jazz big band: 2 alto saxophones, 2 tenor saxophones, baritone saxophone, 4 trumpets, 3 trombones, bass trombone, piano, guitar, bass, drum kit.
Duration: 7 min.
Difficulty: Advanced — Features a complex sax section soli (this can be cut)
There is a section for solos and a challenging sax section soli (an optional cut can bypass the soli). Can be used as a tenor sax 1 feature.
Originally written as a quintet piece.
