Work Overview
'Light in the tunnel' is a reflection on hope in dark times and places. Light often comes through interactions with others, thus in this piece, the three instruments move between leading, supporting, listening and interrupting. It journeys through several different harmonic worlds, each of which facilitates different sets of emotions. The piece is not overly virtuosic, leaving space for performers to develop interactive relationships between instruments.
We persist, thrive, are sustained, or survive because of hope. There is always tension, always something at stake, always a journey
