Work Overview
This work is an early work of mine and written at a time when I became fascinated by the idea of a feminine 'voice' through my university studies. I tried to write this work backwards in a sense, ie the work is in five movements and each section begins with a quasi-climax that slowly works itself out. I was greatly inspired by the wonderful poetic writing of French Feminist Helene Cixous and I used some text of hers at the start of each of the movements as kind of mental stimulus for the performance.
