Work Overview
This short work was written for the Sydney-based choir The Cathedral Singers on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the choir's foundation. The work is in the tradition of Renaissance unaccompanied choral works in Latin, with some polyphonic and some homophonic textures, but is imbued with a more contemporary harmonic vocabulary. The text is from Psalms 96 and 98, 'Sing unto God the Lord, sing ye a new song'.
