The Mass setting, like Willan, makes use of chant-like melodies in the Choral movements (SATB Kyrie, Sanctus, Benedictus, Agnus Dei). The Gloria and Apostles' Creed have a congregational part with organ accompaniment and optional SATB parts.
Instrumentation: SATB for Kyrie, Sanctus/Benedictus, Agnus. Congregation and organ with optional SATB for Gloria and Credo (Apostles' Creed)
Duration: 9 min.
Difficulty: Medium — Easy congregational parts; Advanced SATB unaccompanied movements
Influenced by the chant-inspired style of Healey Willan in its use of chant-like melodies in the choral movements.
