Library shelf no. 788.93/MCK 3 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Colombine is a series of sonatinas for solo players.
These solos are developed from Jennifer Harrison's masterpiece,
'Colombine'. Colombine is from 16th century Commadia
dell' Arte. Colombine is Harlequin's mistress, a comic
servant playing the tricky slave type and wife of Pierrot.
In Jennifer's poem, Colombine is much more than a
"little dove" Here she is a woman of our own time, and learns to
step through the dangers of modern life and the irrational
patriarchy that attempts to contain creative minds. A story
particularly relevant to our time. Ken White created and produced
the extraordinary artwork.
