Work Overview
Ripples has two distinct sections, the first based on
the Mixolydian mode on A moving into the opening motive in D
Mixolydian. The second section is firmly based in D major
concluding with a simple ascending D major scale. This leads back
to the first section.
The Abridged version consists of the first Mixolydian section
only. It can also be used by more advanced pianists for
sight-reading practice.
