Work Overview
The first movement of this work is in jazz-pop style with many time signature changes and shifted accents. The piano's rhythms weave around the clarinet's melody, making an interesting rhythmic structure. The second movement is very lyrical. The third movement is marked funky, and presents a real rhythmic challenge to both players. All three movements use extended tonalities. A fun piece!
