Work Overview
In March 1998, Franziska Schroeder, an Honours student at the Tasmanian Conservatorium, asked me to contribute to the thesis on extended saxophone techniques. Being very backward in any "new" techniques, I joined the rush, albeit with only a small piece. She politely referred to it as an "effective little piece, even if the multiphonics may sound very different from what you imagined." Franziska was correct, but included it in her final selection.
