Locus iste : motet for SATB choir a cappella / Heather Percy.
Library shelf no. 782.55542/PER 2 [Available for loan]
Work Overview
Described in Limelight magazine as cool and jazzy with diverging chromatics, Locus iste was composed in response to Anton Bruckner's famous motet. Like Bruckner's famous motet, it is in C but is harmonically reimagined, coloured with frequent shifts and chromaticism. Those familiar with Bruckner's motet will recognise the small cameos from his wrok embedded within.
