This is a complete transcription for chamber orchestra which adheres as closely as possible to Wagner's original orchestration of Tristan and Isolda.

Instrumentation: Flute, oboe, clarinet in A, clarinet in B flat (doubling bass clarinet), bassoon, 2 horns, timpani, harp, soprano, 2 violins, viola, cello, double bass. Soprano, timpani and harp perform in 'Liebestod' only.
