Score

Work Overview
The piece is inspired by my recent visit to Ireland assisted by a Phonographic Performance Company of Australia grant. I sing from the Liber Usualis very often, if not most days, and when I found this reading I thought it sounded very Celtic. There needs to be a very clear sense of the rhythm of the piece. The accompaniment suggests ancient ruins, by its sparseness, and also hopefully encourages the listener to hear the timbres of the instruments and singer.
