Work Overview
The work is in three movements. Don't Touch My Hair ( a 'narky' piece about the flower-girls having their hair done for the wedding to come), The Procession (the hair thing resolved, the flower-girls enjoy the walk down the aisle), and The Leaning Gravestone Is 'Bar' (after the wedding the flower-girls chase one another in the graveyard). The first movement is rhythmic, angular and chromatic. The second movement is tonal, being tasty broken chords in sequence forming a melody. The third movement is series of running lyrical arcs that come to a halt ocassionally in unexpected places.
