Work Overview

This work was inspired by a quote by evolutionary biologist and author Richard Dawkins in an interview, explaining how repetition in reglious life can become an anesthetic, making it difficult to observe the extraordinary things religions can make people do.

There is a trance-like piano ostinato that occurs in the left hand, and continues through all of the themes.
