Klezmer music : clarinet in B flat and piano / music by Larry Sitsky
Library shelf no. 788.62/SIT 1 [Not for loan]
Work Overview
Klezmer Music was composed in September 1996 for my
friends Antony Ernst and Catherine Gibberd; the music was used
for their wedding, performed by family members.
The music is in the form of a suite in six short movements,
providing various contrasts. The title was used because this
music is the result of growing up with Klezmer at home, but now
it is filtered and stylised, filtered through my musical brain
and its memories.
The music is of moderate difficulty and is aimed at the student
clarinettist, as well as the professional seeking some light
relief in his/her programme-making
