Work Overview
This piece is inspired by different modes of transport moving over cobblestones. Cobblestones are both regular and often arranged into mosaic patterns but also uneven and clunky when examined closely. Walking, driving and riding over cobblestones produce markedly different kinds of physical journey. The 'journey' of the piece moves in and out of different modes of transportation and follows a developed rondo form with the opening section returning after two significant detours.
