Work Overview
This short encore piece was written for brilliant Australian flautist Sally Walker as a piece for advanced students. It features a simple, expressive melody supported by typical arabesque flourishes on the piano (heard later in the flute part when the two instruments' roles are reversed). There is also a cadenza for the soloist featuring double, triple and flutter tonguing.
