Work Overview

This choral piece is based on two traditional peace songs: 'Ya rab al salaam' - a traditional Palestinian song and 'Shalom Aleichem' a traditional Hebrew song about the angels of peace. Both traditional songs are introduced separately and then sung simultaneously. The exchange of songs between 'Arabic' singer and 'Hebrew' singer is an intended symbol of reconciliation.
