The Stone sutra temple (石经寺 - shi jing si) is situated near a secluded village in the thickly wooded hills nearby to Chengdu city, in mid-western China. This composition is inspired by the temple buildings and grounds, the surrounding hills and forest, the atmosphere of the temple steeped in history, the Buddhist tradition there still very much alive, the silence and serenity.....
