Based on a prose poem by William Henderson, the text is deliberately silly with comic-surreal imaginings inspiring the music in unusual situations, humour having the dominant role.

Instrumentation: Speaker, soprano, tenor, SATB choir, flute/piccolo, clarinet B flat/E flat, bass clarinet, trumpet, percussion (1 player), piano, synthesizer, violin, cello.

Difficulty: Advanced

Contents note: There are two large sections rather than two movements, each with varying tempos interpreting the moods of the text.
