I was the mayor for the debut performance in 1965.

If anyone would like to know more about Farnham Girls' Choir's performance then, do get in touch. MW attended one rehearsal and the first performance, signing my copy to 'Susan Fletcher J.P.' I think I was asked to sing that part because it's very angular and tricky; I was one of the few in the choir who could read music, the other lasses learned by rote! I'm now 79 and can still remember this very emotional piece.
