The work was requested and performed by the visiting Italian
contemporary music ensemble Gruppo Bruno Maderna for an
Australian tour during 1989.
The piece calls for motivic material to be shared by each of the
performers in a dialogue manner. The music also calls for some
aleatory performance practice.
