When there is light in your window is a well known Israeli love song that was written by Sasha Argov, one of Israel's greatest songwriters. The lyrics, by Amos Ettinger, succinctly convey the ambiance of the piece:
"Where there is light in your window, I know, behold, to me you will suddenly appear from the darkness. When there is light in your window I hear, tell me why the light is suddenly extinguished?"
