ABC’s Australian Music Fund: 25 new classical and jazz works announced
ABC Classic and ABC Jazz will bring 25 new Australian works to audiences over the coming year, in a series of commissions resulting from the new Australian Music Fund.
Composers involved in these commissions include many emerging artists involved in the AMC's composer development programs, as well as AMC-represented composers, including Katy Abbott, Cathy Applegate, William Barton, Nat Bartsch, Andrew Batterham, Anne Cawrse, Ryan Clapham, Tim Gray, Maria Grenfell, Erik Griswold, Jakub Jankowski, Elena Kats-Chernin, Hilary Kleinig, Zela Margossian, Kate Neal, Natalie Nicolas, Elizabeth Sheppard, Harry Sdraulig, Nardi Simpson, Natalie Williams, Jonathan Zwartz, as well as many others.
The successful works will debut on ABC Classic and ABC Jazz over the next 12 months.
