Australian Music on ABC Classic FM in January 2011
2011 - a new year, a new decade. As part of this month's kick-off into 2011, we have a two-part feature from the MONA FOMA festival in Hobart, Tasmania. From Adelaide come several live broadcasts from the Australian Youth Orchestra National Music Camp live with a smattering of Australian compositions.
In addition, there are still some absolute gems from last year which we are broadcasting on In Performance and re-broadcasting on New Music Up Late as part of our Re-Live series. This includes a selection of fantastic festivals from 2010 - the Four Winds Festival, Liquid Architecture and Soundstreams.
You can also listen to and read about Australian music in our online archival recording collection classic/amp. Also check out an array of special web features, or subscribe to our weekly AMU podcast for new Australian music recordings and artist interviews direct to your computer.
