Liza Lim and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music's Composing Women program have made it to the Classical:NEXT Innovation Awards longlist, together with the Four Winds Easter Festival, led by artistic director James Crabb. The Classical:NEXT Innovation Award raises awareness of forward-thinking projects taking place around the world.

Nominations from the dedicated Committee form the initial Longlist, and the same group of professionals also votes on who gets shortlisted in the next step. The vote then opens to the Classical:NEXT community who ultimately decide who the recipients of the Innovation Award will be. The three winners will be announced during the Classical:NEXT industry event on 20 May.

Registrations for Classical:NEXT are currently open. SOUNDS AUSTRALIA and the AMC will be providing a platform to support Australians at Classical:NEXT. Before registering, please get in touch with Glenn Dickie at SOUNDS AUSTRALIA or John Davis at the Australian Music Centre to obtain the code to register at a reduced rate under the umbrella of the Australian stand.
