New Music Network: PGH address & Mini-series
© Peter Derrett
This year's Peggy Glanville-Hicks address will be presented in Sydney and Melbourne by the artistic director of Opera Australia, baritone Lyndon Terracini, on the topic of 'Populism as Art and the Art of Populism'. The address will be followed by a live performance of David Young and Margaret Cameron's Minotaur the Island (an excerpt of about 20 minutes in Sydney, the complete opera of approximately 45 minutes in Melbourne). The production by ChamberMade re-imagines the lost opera of Monteverdi, focusing on the tragic story of the Minotaur.
