Opportunity: APRA Professional Development Awards 2021

APRA Professional Development Awards are again open for applications, closing on 25 March. These Awards, now presented annually by APRA AMCOS, aim to create career opportunities for emerging songwriters and composers.

In 2021, nine individual winners will each take home $10,000 cash and a prize from Australis Music Group. The Awards will also include the ATSI Music and Media Award ($12K) for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander music or media practitioner, supported by the Smugglers of Light Foundation, set up in memory of Eli Westlake.

The Australian Music Centre is one of APRA's partner organisations for the Professional Development Awards. There are nine categories available, include those for Jazz & Improvised Music; Classical & Experimental; and Film and Television/Gaming.

Applications for the 2021 APRA Professional Development Awards close at 5pm AEST on Thursday 25 March.

> For more information on how to apply, terms and conditions and categories, see the APRA AMCOS website.
