TSO Composers' School 2010 - applications now open
Applications for the 2010 Symphony Australia TSO Composers' School are now open. This week of compositional training with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra will take place in Hobart on 4-11 September, with the aim of seeking out and developing talented composers who wish to hone their vocal and orchestral writing skills. Tutors in 2010 include Andrew Ford, James Ledger, Richard Mills and Kenneth Young. There are two categories: (1) orchestra (2) solo voice and orchestra, with soloists Jennifer Barrington (soprano) and Sitiveni Talei (baritone).
The deadline for applications is Friday, 11 June 2010. All previous applicants and participants of TSO Composers' Schools are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will be required to submit a clean set of orchestral parts by 12 July. Application guidelines and form can be downloaded from the TSO website (pdf).
