Nicole Brady is a Melbourne-based composer and pianist. She writes for orchestras and chamber ensembles, scores for screen and games, and as creative director and the founder of WLDR builds interactive, immersive work.

In 2026 Ricochet, for chamber orchestra and electronics, opened ICMC at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg with Friederike Scheunchen conducting Ensemble Resonanz, and toured with Flinders Quartet in Voices Between Worlds, originally commissioned as a string quartet through FQ's Ascend Composers Commissioning program.

She frequently performs her own work, from the piano concerto neo prefecture: palm city an ode to metabolist megastructures written for the critically acclaimed We Are OFK (PS5, Switch, Sony Soundtracks), to the live electronics of Ricochet. Her immersive album Lost Palace, a cinematic tale about a band who once played in a long-lost palace, was produced in Dolby Atmos featuring the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Mark Guiliana, Miles Mosley and Lydia Ainsworth.

Through WLDR she directed Repast, an XR multisensory interactive installation about memory and ecological fragility, programmed during Illuminate Adelaide ILA, and Spier Light Art in Cape Town, where over 20,000 participants have interacted with the work.

Her work has been recognised by The Peabody Awards and IndieCade, and her doctoral research at the University of Melbourne, on designing immersion from a sonic-led multisensory perspective, was awarded the Director's Award for Exceptional Doctoral Research. She holds a Master of Music in film composition from New York University, where she received the Elmer Bernstein Award and taught as an adjunct professor in piano performance, and a Bachelor of Music in piano performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she received the Winifred Margaret Neirous Award for the top graduating recital
