He is also a three-time fellow of the prestigious Music Academy of the West (2013, 2014, 2016).

Christopher has performed with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Philharmonic, and The Orchestra Now. With The Orchestra Now, he has appeared at major venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York. He was also a member of the Aldeburgh World Orchestra in 2012, performing at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and during the London Olympics.

A decorated soloist, Christopher has won the Australian National Trumpet Championship seven times and is the first trumpeter to be named Australian Brass Champion of Champions. He was a top five finalist in the 2024 World Trumpet Society Solo Competition and a top three finalist in the 2025 Australian Trumpet Competition.

Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of both performance and composition, Christopher Moran is forging an exciting path in contemporary classical music.
