Popular Canadian violinist Lara St John directs ACO2 in a concert of classical favourites from Baroque Italy, Romantic Russia, contemporary Australia and sultry Argentina. ACO2 violinists dazzle in Vivaldi’s Concert for Four Violins, while Piazzolla takes Vivaldi as inspiration for his tango-style evocation of Buenos Aires’ seasons. After some poignant Hindson, the concerts ends with Tchaikovsky’s thrilling, swirling Serenade.
