Exotic landscapes and a defiant musical portrait.
As the West Australian Symphony Orchestra prepare for their international tour to Beijing and Shanghai there has been a change to the program that Asher Fisch and WASO will be performing. To showcase the Orchestras musicianship on a grand scale they will now perform Mahler’s mighty and deeply personal Fifth Symphony and Saint-Saëns’ glittering and exotic Piano Concerto No.5.
On Saturday the evening begins with Sculthorpe’s stunning musical portrait of Kakadu.
