Join the Australian Youth Orchestra as they celebrate the raw energy and exceptional talents of Australia’s next generation of classical musicians. Hand-selected from around the country and united under the deft baton of accomplished English conductor Andrew Gourlay, hear these fine young players bring a popular selection of orchestral works to life.
This concert will showcase a diverse repertoire of classics from Sculthorpe's Sun Music III to Rachmaninov’s rapturous Symphony No.2 and Elgar’s moving Cello Concerto, performed with the masterful skill of renowned cellist, Li-Wei Qin. Don’t miss your chance to experience the brilliance of the AYO as they mark their 60th anniversary with this special performance.
