Event Details

Bach in the Dark is a series of unconventional classical music concerts featuring 'cellist Rachel Scott and a changing roster of guest artists.

Bach in the Dark is going to Gunning!

For the third program in the 2018 series, Rachel is joined by  former teacher and dear friend (and cello great!), David Pereira. If you’ve been a concert with David and Rachel before you’ll know that you’re in for a night of great musical conversation! A critic said that Rachel and David’s playing “has the feel of a celebration, of untempered, free and loose-limbed music-making, where lines are shaped by boldness…”

The program will include works by J.S. Bach, re-imagining of Bach by David Pereira and some musical surprises!

The concert will be in the Courtroom of the Old Gunning Courthouse. Bookings and enquiries to michael.coley@bigpond.com, 0415 378 816 or 02 4845 1566.

Presented by Gunning Focus Group.

Featured non-Australian music: Bach, Barriere, Kummer, Purcell
