With 2014 marking the 200th year since the birth of Belgium instrument maker and inventor, Adolphe Sax, Barega Saxophone Quartet will present an exciting journey through time celebrating the rich history of classical music for the saxophone. This performance will shine a spotlight on Australian repertoire for the saxophone quartet and celebrate gems in the repertory that are rarely heard. Featured composers include Paul Cutlan, Thomas Green, and Barega Saxophone Quartet’s Composer in Residence Andrew Ball.
