Event Details

Emily Granger, harp, and Emma Gerstein, flute, have performed in venues all over the world, including but not limited to: Zankel & Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Center in Chicago, the New World Center in Miami, the Kauffman Center in Kansas City, Auckland Town Hall, Sydney Opera House and Millennium Stage at The Kennedy Center.

The duo will come together for a tour of Australia and New Zealand June 25-30, 2017.

The performances will include the world premiere of Australian composer, Mark Oliveiro’s SONAT EX DOMUS VENUS. In addition the program will feature a wide range of works by American, Australian, and New Zealand composers as well as some lesser known works by Bernard Andres and Donizetti.

Emma currently serves as Principal Flute of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and will take up her post as Second Flute with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in September. Emily is currently working as guest Principal Harp with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and performs throughout the US with the Chicago Harp Quartet.
